The South Yemen Civil War was a short, brief civil war occurred in the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen in 1986. It was between the supporters of Abdel Fattah lslaim and supporters of Ali Nasir Muhammad. It lasted for 11 days and killed 4,000 to 10,000 people (including Islami) and led to the fall of Ali Nasir. He was replaced by Haider Aboubaker al-Attas, a close partner with Islami. Around 60,000 people fled to North Yemen including Ali Nasir himself.
