Tagorihime is one of the Three Munakata goddesses, the daughters of Susanoo.[1] The Shinsen Shōjiroku says she is the ancestor of many clans.[2]
She married Ōkuninushi. This is interesting because it links the Munakata clan with the izumo clan. It also links Munakata Taisha and Izumo Taisha.[1]
She is the mother of Ajisukitakahikone and shitateru-hime
Her main shrine is Okitsu-gu, part of Munakata Taisha. It is on Okinoshima, a forbidden island that only men can go to.[3]

All her children are worshipped at Shitori Shrine alongside those of her sisters, she and her sisters are not.
