Katy Lied is the fourth studio album by Steely Dan. Steely Dan was an American rock band. ABC Records released the album in March 1975. Before making the album, the band stopped playing music at concerts. Two people left the band because of this, so Walter Becker and Donald Fagen made the album with other music artists. Some music artists on this album are Rick Derringer, Michael McDonald, and Denny Dias.

The album was number 13 on the Billboard Top LPs & Tape music chart.[2] The album has two singles: "Black Friday" and "Bad Sneakers". "Black Friday" was number 37 on the Billboard Hot 100. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) gave the album a gold certification.[3]
