Valvatida is a large order of starfish in the class Asteroidea. That class contains 695 species in 172 genera in 17 families.[1] Some species in this order are able to grow up to 75 centimeters long meanwhile some species being a few millimeters long instead. The species in the order are very widespread with each species having a unique colour like purple, pink, or red. Just like most starfish, most of the species have 5 legs.
