Todd Wallace Blanche (/blæntʃ/;[1] born August 6, 1974) is an American attorney and former prosecutor. Since 2025, he has been serving as the 40th United States deputy attorney general.[2]

Blanche is best known for representing then-former U.S. president Donald Trump in the 2024 criminal trial in New York.[3][4] On November 14, 2024, President-elect Trump announced that he planned to nominate Blanche to be deputy attorney general.[5][6] He was confirmed to the post by the U.S. Senate on March 5, 2025 in a 52-46 vote.[7][8]

On April 2, 2026, Blanche became the acting U.S. Attorney General after Attorney General Pam Bondi was fired by President Trump.[9][10][11] Two months later, Trump formally nominated Blanche to be the permanent attorney general.[12]
