Rolando Vargas Romero (10 April 1939 – 22 June 2025) was a Bolivian footballer. He was capped five times for Bolivia in 1967,[2] and played for them at the 1967 South American Championship.[3] He was playing for The Strongest when the Viloco tragedy happened, which killed 74 people, including 17 of The Strongest's players. However, Vargas was not on the plane at the time.[1]
