Critical reception
The Nu Metal Agenda included the song on their list, "STARTER PACK: Nu Metal Songs To Protest To." They described "Liberate" as having the "last vestiges" of the band's nu metal roots. They added, "The chorus is especially relevant today, encapsulating the cult-like fervor of the MAGA mentality."[1]
