LASK (women) is the womens team of LASK, based in Linz, Upper Austria. It was founded in 2004 .
History
The club traces its origins back to the Ladies Soccer Club Linz, which was founded in 2002. The long-established club LASK founded its own women’s soccer division in 2004. The name was LASK Ladies. The Ladies Soccer Club Linz officially stopped operations at the end of the 2003–04 season. All of its players were transferred to the new LASK Ladies by mutual agreement. Both LSC Linz and LASK Ladies were founded on the initiative of former national team goalkeeper Klaus Lindenberger. In the summer of 2021, LASK founded its own women’s team.
