Part of Page 32 of Nag Hammadi Codex II, containing beginning of the Gospel of Thomas

The Gospel of Thomas (or the Gospel according to Thomas, Coptic: ⲡⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⲡⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲱⲙⲁⲥ) is a text that claims to include the secret sayings that Jesus spoke to Thomas. In 1945, it was found in Nag Hammadi in Egypt.

It contains 114 sayings, and most of them are compatible with the canonical gospels or can be found in them.

Some Muslims believe that the Gospel of Thomas is the Injil referenced in the Qur'an as having been given to Jesus by Allah.[1]
