Avirey-Lingey (aviʁɛ lɛ̃ʒɛ) is a commune of the Aube département in the north-central part of France.[3]
Name
The name Avirey comes from a Roman man's name Avirius[4]
It used to have some other names: Avireium in 1081, Avirey in 1793, and Avirey-Luigé in 1801.[5]
