You'll Be Alright, Kid is the debut studio album by Alex Warren, released on July 18, 2025 by Atlantic Records. The album serves as a continuation of his extended play You'll Be Alright, Kid (Chapter 1) which was released on September 27, 2024,[1] and was supported by the release of four singles.[2] The album features guest appearances from American musician Jelly Roll and South Korean–New Zealand singer Rosé.
Background
On September 26, 2024, Warren released a ten-track extended play (EP), You'll Be Alright, Kid (Chapter 1). The EP was released as a precursor to You'll Be Alright, Kid.[1][3][4][5] "Ordinary" was released as the lead single from the album on February 7, 2025 and was also included on the reissue of You'll Be Alright, Kid (Chapter 1).[6] "Bloodline" was released as the second single from the album on May 22, 2025.
Critical reception
The album has received mixed reviews from critics. Maura Johnston from the Rolling Stone gave the album a three-out-of-five star review and described the "2010-esque" album as often feeling "mired in the self-seriousness of hoary post-grunge and stomp-and-holler folk-pop", all the while commenting on its lack of musical originality but noting Warren's artistic potential.[7]
