Sharon Carter is a fictional character appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), portrayed by actress Emily VanCamp. Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, she first appeared in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who assists Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America. Sharon is the niece of Peggy Carter, a key figure in Captain America's story and a founding member of S.H.I.E.L.D.
