The Reno Aces are a Minor League Baseball team from Reno, Nevada.[1] They play baseball at the Triple-A (AAA) level, the most difficult level before Major League Baseball, against other baseball teams in the Pacific Coast League (a group of 10 baseball teams at the same level).[1] The Aces are partnered with the Arizona Diamondbacks, a Major League Baseball team. When a player shows that he plays well at this level, he may be moved up to play for the Diamondbacks.
The team is called Aces because Reno is a popular city for gambling and casinos and the ace is the highest card in several card games.
The Aces have played at a stadium called Greater Nevada Field since 2009.
