Rathore

Rathore or Rathod is a Rajput clan, that claims descent from the Suryavanshi Kshatriya dynasty (Solar dynasty) of the Hindu mythology. They historically ruled over parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand.[1][2] According to British historian V. A. Smith, the Rathores are offshoot of the Gahadawal dynasty while others link their descent from the ancient Rashtrakutas.[3][4][5]
