Günther's horned frog, Guenther's horned frog, or Gunther's smooth horned frog (Proceratophrys appendiculata) is a frog. It lives in Brazil.[2][3][1]
Home
This frog only lives in forests. Scientists saw this frog on the dead leaves on the ground in forests that were never cut down and forests that are growing back between 500 and 1700 meters above sea level.[1]
Scientists saw the frog in two protected parks: Parque Nacional Da Serra Dos Orgãos and Parque Estadual Do Desengano.[1]
Young
The adult frog lays eggs in streams. The tadpoles swim and grow in the streams.[1]
Danger
Scientists from the IUCN say this frog is not in danger of dying out. People changed the places where the frog lives by cutting down many trees to get wood to build with and make room for cities and farms and places for animals to eat grass. Now, the frogs live in protected places and in places where the mountains are too steep for people to cut down the trees.[1]
