Piano accordion

The piano accordion is a free reed aerophone musical instrument (an instrument that uses air). It is popular in several genres including polka and comedy. It works by the pushing or pulling of the bellows, then pressing a key or a button (often called a bass button).

To hold the instrument, place the left hand on the buttons and the right hand on the keys. Its keys are similar to a piano or a melodica.

People who play this instrument are called accordionists. These accordionists include "Weird Al" Yankovic, Frankie Yankovic, Lawrence Welk, and more.
