Persecution of Christians is treating Christians unfairly based on their religion. This can mean using violence against them or putting them in prison. Persecution of Christians exists in many countries such as India, Iran, Pakistan, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Burma, Lebanon, Syria, and Sri Lanka. For example, in China it is illegal to be a member of a Christian church that is not approved by the government.
