North Carolina's 13th congressional district was re-created in 2002 after the state's population grew in the 2000 United States census.

On October 25, 2023, the North Carolina General Assembly redrew and approved a new map, making it more conservative.[3] [4] [5] It is thought to be one of the most heavily gerrymandered districts in the state.

The 13th congressional district is currently represented by Brad Knott.
