Nobody Wants This

Nobody Wants This is an American romantic comedy-drama television series. It tells the story of Noah, a conservative rabbi whose quiet and predictable life changes when he meets Joanne, a free-spirited podcaster. Joanne runs a popular podcast about love and sexuality with her sister, which challenges Noah’s traditional worldview.

Noah’s mother disapproves of the relationship because Joanne is not Jewish and expects her son to marry Rebecca, a woman from their community. The series follows Noah and Joanne through cultural differences, family expectations, and personal insecurities. It mixes humor and emotion to show the value of openness and self-determination.

The show has been praised as a modern romantic comedy with social depth. Adam Brody plays the rabbi with sensitivity and inner conflict, while Kristen Bell brings charm and depth to Joanne. Reviewers liked the balance of tradition and modern life, and the respectful but humorous approach to religion. The chemistry between the leads was seen as a highlight.
