"Nearly Lost You" is a song by the American alternative rock band Screaming Trees. It appears as the second track on their sixth studio album, Sweet Oblivion (1992). The song was written by the Conner brothers: guitarist Gary Lee and bassist Van, with vocalist Mark Lanegan. It has lyrics about an acid trip and is the band's most popular song. Screaming Trees have been labeled a one hit wonder for it.
The song was released as the lead single from Sweet Oblivion in August 1992. This was two months before to the album released. It was a moderate success on modern rock radio, partly due to appearing on the soundtrack to the 1992 Cameron Crowe film Singles.
