Karnali River

The Karnali River (also known as Ghaghara in India) is the longest river in Nepal, measuring approximately 507 km (315 miles) within the country. It originates from the Tibetan Plateau, passes through Nepal’s remote western regions, and is known as one of the last free-flowing Himalayan rivers. It flows through the mountainous terrain before exiting the country and merging with the Sharda River in India to form the Ghaghara.
