Jalisco New Generation Cartel

The Jalisco New Generation Cartel (Spanish: Cártel de Jalisco Nueva Generación), simply known as CJNG,[1][2][3][4] is an paramilitary group and narco-terrorist organization involved in international drug trafficking, money laundering, and organized crime. The CJNG was founded during in mid-2009 by Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, Emilio Alejandro Pulido Salazar, Martin Arzola Ortega, and Erick Valencia Salazar[5] The cartel is based in Guadalajara, Jalisco.[6][7]

The United States calls the CJNG "the most powerful drug trafficking organization in the world and Mexico's most powerful organized crime group." The group makes and sells opium, marijuana, heroin and cocaine. They also do human trafficking.[8]
