HEC Paris, Abidjan
HEC Paris, Abidjan, also known as HEC Paris in Abidjan or HEC Africa, is an off-campus campus of HEC Paris located in Abidjan, the capital of Ivory Coast.[1]
History
HEC Abidjan was established through an agreement between HEC Paris, a leading business school, and the Confédération générale des entreprises de Côte d'Ivoire (CGECI), a business organization representing the private sector in Ivory Coast, created in 2005.[2]
Strategic partnership agreements were signed between the two parties following the visit to Abidjan in July 2015 by the President of the French Republic, François Hollande.[3] The campus opened in 2018[4] and is headed by Alexis John-Ahyee.[5]
The school trains approximately one hundred executives each year in the fields of finance, business strategy,[6] and innovation.[7]
HEC also announced in 2023 its intention to support the development of entrepreneurship in Africa by mentoring 1,000 projects over five years.[8][9]
