Death of Elisa Lam

Elisa Lam, also known by her Cantonese name, Lam Ho Yi (藍可兒; April 30, 1991 – February 2013), was a Canadian student at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Her body was discovered from a water tank at the Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles on February 19, 2013.[1] She had been reported missing at the beginning of the month.
Maintenance workers at the hotel discovered the body when investigating guest complaints of problems with the water supply.
The circumstances of Lam's death, once she was found, also raised questions, especially in light of the Cecil's history in relation to other notable deaths and murders. Her body was nude[2] with most of her clothes and personal effects floating in the water near her.[2]
The autopsy showed that her death was by accident.[3]
Police also released CCTV footage of Elisa Lam to help find her. On the footage, she is in an elevator, and pressed a lot of buttons in the elevator, but nothing happened. She went out of the elevator, and after a while she came back, and again, pressed a lot of buttons. Then, it is looks like she talked to someone, but nobody is here. And after that, she went away and nobody seems she after that.[4][5]
