Dear X is a South Korean television drama series released in 2025 on TVING. The story is based on the popular Naver webtoon of the same name by Vanziun. The series follows the rise and fall of Baek Ah-jin, a famous actress whose public image hides deep emotional wounds and a long history of manipulation. Dear X premiered on 6 November 2025 and was also screened earlier at the Busan International Film Festival on 18 September 2025 in the "On Screen" section.[1]

Plot

Baek Ah-jin is one of the most admired young actresses in South Korea. Her public personality appears warm and friendly, but her private life shows a different picture. She was shaped by violence, neglect and betrayal during her childhood, and she learned to use people to protect herself. Her childhood friend Yoon Jun-seo does everything he can to support her, even when her actions become morally darker. Another figure, Kim Jae-oh, becomes a quiet protector with his own emotional scars. Im Re-na, a former idol singer trying to enter acting, adds rivalry and pressure. The series shows the entertainment industry as a place where scandals, media attention and reputation can determine a career.
