Corneliu Vadim Tudor (Romanian pronunciation: [korˈnelju vaˈdim ˈtudor]; 28 November 1949 – 14 September 2015)[1] was a Romanian politician, nationalist poet and journalist. In the 1980s, he posed as a "court poet" of dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu.[2] After the downfall of socialism, he led the nationalist Greater Romania Party (Partidul România Mare) and was a Member of the European Parliament. Also, he was a Romanian Senator from 1992 to 2008. Tudor was expelled from his party in 2013, an act that was later claimed to be unlawful.[3] He died of a heart attack in 2015 in a hospital.
