The paranapiacaba tree frog (Bokermannohyla astartea) is a frog that lives in Brazil. It lives in the Serra do Mar.[1][3][2]

Home

This frog lives in trees in forests that have never been cut down where the tree branches come together like a roof. It puts its eggs in water in bromeliad plants, and the tadpoles swim and grow in the water.[2]

Scientists have seen this frog between 700 and 1,000 m (2,300 and 3,300 ft) above sea level. Scientists have seen the frog in protected places.[2]

Danger

Scientists from the IUCN say this frog is not in danger of dying out. It lives in Serra do Mar, which has big forests in it. In some places, the frogs are in some danger when human beings build towns, farms, tree farms, and places for cows to eat grass.[2]
