Plot
In 1987, Manhattan investment banker Patrick Bateman lives a double life as a wealthy Wall Street executive and a serial killer. Obsessed with status and appearance, he becomes increasingly unstable while committing violent crimes against colleagues, sex workers, and strangers. Bateman later confesses his crimes to his lawyer, who dismisses the confession as a joke, leaving it unclear whether the murders truly happened or were part of Bateman’s delusions.[1]
