Aflac’s mascot is a domestic duck known as the Aflac Duck. Comedian Gilbert Gottfried voiced the Aflac Duck from his debut in 2000 until 2011,[1] when he was fired by Aflac for joking about the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake online. Daniel McKeague, a sales manager from Hugo, Minnesota, was picked to be the new voice of the Aflac Duck in April 2011.[2] Character actor Earl Billings has appeared in many of the commercials.
