The Ilha de Santa Catarina tropical bullfrog (Adenomera engelsi) is a frog. It lives in Brazil.[2][3][1]
Home
This frog lives in Atlantic forests. People see it on the dead leaves on the ground in forests that were never cut down and rainforests that were cut down and have been growing back. It is good at living in places that have changed. Scientists have seen it between 0 and 900 m (0 and 2,953 ft) above sea level.[1]
Scientists have seen these frogs in protected places: Parque Estadual Serra do Tabuleiro, Monumento Natural Municipal da Lagoa do Peri, and Parque Municipal do Maciço da Costeira.[1]
Young
This frog puts its eggs in nests made out of bubbles on the ground far from water. Scientists think this frog hatches out of its egg as a small frog and not as a tadpole..[1]
Danger
Scientists from the IUCN say this frog is not in danger of dying out. In some places, it is in some danger when human beings change the places where it lives to make towns and farms, but there are big pieces of forest left, and this frog is good at living in small pieces of forest.[1]
