A Tour of the White House with Mrs. John F. Kennedy was a television special featuring the First Lady of the United States, Jacqueline Kennedy, on a tour of the recently renovated White House. It was broadcast on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1962, on both CBS and NBC, and broadcast four days later on ABC.[1] The program was the first televised tour of the White House by a first lady. It is thought to be the first prime-time documentary specifically designed for a female audience.[2]

The program showed Mrs. Kennedy on a tour of the house with CBS News correspondent Charles Collingwood. The videotaped tour was the first view of the White House to the American public.[2]

The broadcast was seen by more than eighty million viewers and syndicated globally to 50 countries, including China and the Soviet Union.[2]
