The 1000 metres race walk event at the 1926 Women's World Games was the first and only time a race walk was held at Women's World Games. The event took place in Gothenburg at the Slottsskogsvallen during the second day of the Games on 28 August 1926.

The event had only two competitors. The British Daisy Crossley and Albertine Regel from France. Crossley won the event in a new world record time of 5:10.0.[1] This was three seconds faster than the former world record.[2] French Palmer finished second in a time of 5:12.4. This was also faster than the previous world record.

As a celebration for winning the event and breaking a world record, Crossley was carried on the shoulders of teammates throughout Gothenburg.[3]
