"(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" is a song by English rock band the Rolling Stones. It was written by vocalist Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards. The song was released as a single in the United States in June 1965. The song is on the American version of the album Out of Our Heads. "Satisfaction" was the band's first number one single in the US. The song was not released as a single in the United Kingdom until August. This was because its lyrics were considered too sexual. It became the band's fourth number one single in the UK.
"Satisfaction" is mainly a rock song. More specifically: garage rock,[1][2] beat,[1] blues rock[3] and hard rock.[4] This is unlike many of the band's earlier blues and R&B songs. However, it still has elements of both genres.[5]
